Today’s the big day – it’s officially Cupcake Day!
We want to see photos of your creations! Show us your Cupcake Day sale set-up so we can help promote your fundraiser.
We have had a cupcake filled week so far here at The Anti-Cruelty Society!
Every day this week staff and volunteers have been baking and selling cupcakes here leading up to the official community bake sales happening this upcoming Monday at our main location and at the EAC. I guess you could call it a daily cupcake appetizer before the main cupcake course. Needless to say we haven’t had a problem getting our sugar fixes in this week.
Also, we would like to give a shout out to two special Cupcake Day bakers-Erin Glade and Jess Piper! They will be holding bake sales on October 17th and donating the proceeds to the lifesaving efforts of The Anti-Cruelty Society. Thanks again Erin and Jess!
Are you getting yourself in gear to bake and sell treats this Monday? If so, we want to hear about it! Comment on this post to tell us what you’re making and where you’ll be selling your treats.
If you’re hosting your own bake sale this upcoming Cupcake Day – we have table signage for you!
Click and then print our handy dandy event sign, as well as individual cupcake labels, should you have more than one baker taking part.
Be sure to snap some photos of your set-up our way! You may get featured in our post Cupcake Day wrap up!
You spoke, and we listened!
Back by popular demand we will once again be hosting a bake sale at our main adoption center at 510 N. LaSalle to coincide with Cupcake Day. Be sure to get the word out!
The sale will take place from 12 – 6 p.m. and all of the homemade confections will be $3 a piece. See you there!
Call us silly, but we’re really smitten with this goofy and colorful cupcake idea! Ice cream cones, meet rainbows, meet silly moniker. We’re definitely sold! Check out the full recipe on the MomDot website here.
If you’re hosting your very own bake sale in honor of this year’s Cupcake Day on Monday, October 17 – we have posters for you!
Download our official CD poster here and print out a bunch to help you promote your fundraiser!
If you’re looking to put a canine twist on your sugary human treats in honor of Cupcake Day, check out this adorable idea!
Everyone knows of our location on Grand and LaSalle, but have you visited our satellite location in the South Loop? If you haven’t, it is a must!
The Everyday Adoption Center is a state of the art shelter that’s located in the South Loop PetSmart. It’s completely staffed by The Anti-Cruelty Society so you know they know their stuff. The EAC even has a large doggy play group room where you can sit and watch the adoptable dogs frolic for as long as your heart desires. Most importantly, we adopt out an additional thousand animals a year at the Everyday Adoption Center!
More exciting news regarding EAC; Magnolia Bakery will be donating 50 cupcakes to sell for Cupcake Day! If you’ve never had Magnolia’s cupcakes before, like EAC, they are a must. Not only does Magnolia make delicious cupcakes, they are philanthropic to boot. They donate daily to local food pantries and international relief efforts. How sweet!
Now that I’ve added two things to your October bucket list: visiting EAC and tasting the glory that is Magnolia cupcakes, I’ll tell you how you can knock ‘um both out at once. Cupcake day is October 17th, stop by the Everyday Adoption Center at 1101 S. Canal St. from 1-7 pm and get your cupcake/pet fix.
You know what’s even better than the sugary goodness of Cupcake Day? The sweet victory of a completed service learning project! If you are a Chicago High school student with a service learning requirement and a sweet tooth, then you are in luck; you can earn up to 10 service learning hours for participating in this year’s Cupcake Day event. Here’s how you do it:
Good luck and happy baking!
